A sell-out crowd of students, alumni, current and past faculty and staff, board members, and friends turned out to celebrate and support the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center in a gala Nov. 2 at the University of Oregon Ford Alumni Center.
The assembly celebrated the Warsaw Center legacy, toasted our founder’s vision, and jumpstarted our next chapter—and got to take home an exclusive, commemorative Jim Warsaw bobblehead.
We also debuted a new video, introducing the world to the the next round of Warsaw rebels.
“This is a place that doesn’t do normal,” commented David Bruce, MBA ’11. “It’s different. It pushes outside the box. We need to hold onto that.”
A special tailgate held at Autzen Stadium Saturday kept the festivities going.
“The evening was a heartwarming affirmation that the core of what makes us different is our people—people who are creative, generous, and committed,” said Whitney Wagoner, director of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center. “It was particularly meaningful to have so many members of the Warsaw family there to take in and enjoy Jim’s legacy and impact on so many lives.”
Were you unable to be with us for the Warsaw 25 silver anniversary celebration but still want to join in on the fun?
At this juncture, a quarter-century in, we will continue to build and grow. We were the first, and we want to hold the position of expert in Sports Business.
To do so, we will need your help. We are asking the Lundquist College and Warsaw Center community to give in unprecedented ways: time, expertise, and funds.
We are raising the paddle virtually and invite you to give.
We hope this and every class emerging from the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center will embrace this culture of giving back.
Every gift matters—from $50, to $2,500, to $25,000.
